CargoArc Quote & Booking

CargoArc Logistics Software connects service lanes to a practical logistics intake path. This foundation lists the quote request stages, booking stages, request types, and required intake fields shared by future builds. It is not a full booking engine and performs no live carrier booking, rate shopping, or customs filing.

Quote request stages

  • Draft — Quote request is being drafted and is not yet submitted.
  • Customer Submitted — Customer has submitted the quote request for review.
  • Internal Review — Internal team is reviewing scope, feasibility, and requirements.
  • Rate Preparation — Rates and charges are being prepared. No live rate shopping is performed.
  • Quote Sent — Quote has been sent to the customer.
  • Customer Accepted — Customer has accepted the quote.
  • Converted to Booking — Accepted quote has been converted into a booking.
  • Closed / Cancelled — Quote request is closed, declined, or cancelled.

Booking stages

  • Draft Booking — Booking is being drafted and is not yet requested.
  • Booking Requested — Booking has been requested internally. No live carrier transmission is performed.
  • Carrier / Vendor Review — Carrier or vendor availability is being reviewed manually.
  • Booking Confirmed — Booking is confirmed and ready for operations.
  • Pickup / Receiving Pending — Awaiting cargo pickup or warehouse receiving.
  • In Operations — Shipment is actively moving through operations.
  • Document Review — Shipment documents are under review for completeness and compliance readiness.
  • Ready for Shipment — Cargo and documents are ready for shipment.
  • Closed / Cancelled — Booking is completed/closed or cancelled.

Request types

  • Export Quote — Quote for an outbound export movement.
  • Import Quote — Quote for an inbound import movement.
  • Domestic Haulage Quote — Quote for domestic haulage/transportation.
  • Warehouse / 3PL Quote — Quote for warehouse and third-party logistics services.
  • RoRo Vehicle Quote — Quote for roll-on/roll-off vehicle movement.
  • NVOCC Quote — Quote for NVOCC consolidation and carriage services.
  • Courier Quote — Quote for small-parcel or expedited courier services.
  • Customs Readiness Quote — Quote for customs readiness preparation support. (Readiness/sandbox/mock only. No live customs filing is performed.)

Required intake fields

  • Customer (required) — Requesting customer or account.
  • Service Lane (required) — Selected CargoArc service lane.
  • Direction (required) — Export, Import, Domestic, or Transit.
  • Origin (required) — Origin location (city/port/country).
  • Destination (required) — Destination location (city/port/country).
  • Transport Mode (required) — Air, Ocean, Road/Trucking, Rail, RoRo, or Multimodal.
  • Cargo / Equipment Type (required) — Cargo or equipment classification for the movement.
  • Commodity Description (required) — Plain-language description of the commodity.
  • Weight (required) — Gross/estimated weight with unit.
  • Volume (optional) — Volume/measurement with unit.
  • Package Count (optional) — Number of packages/pieces.
  • Container Size / Type (optional) — Container size and type. — applies when: Container or FCL movements
  • Vehicle VIN / Serial (optional) — Vehicle VIN or equipment serial number. — applies when: RoRo/vehicle or serialized equipment
  • Pickup Address (optional) — Pickup/collection address.
  • Delivery Address (optional) — Delivery/consignee address.
  • Target Ready Date (optional) — Target cargo-ready or required-by date.
  • Required Documents (optional) — Documents required for the movement.
  • Customs / Compliance Readiness (optional) — Customs/compliance readiness mode for the movement. — applies when: Movements needing customs readiness; readiness/sandbox/mock only
  • Internal Notes (optional) — Internal-only notes; not customer-facing.
